We live on an ISLAND!

Riverside Park & the Hudson River

In the annals of history, there have been many a great explorer - Captain James Cook, Amerigo Vespucci, Leif Eriksson, Vasco da Gama, Christopher Columbus, and Ponce de Leon, just to name a few. Well, get out your red pens, you editors of Encyclopedia Brittanica, because it's time to add a new name. . .Enrique de Simpsoña.

On Saturday, April 26th, with nothing but the clothes on his back and a briefcase containing a copy of The Onion, a blank notepad, one library book, and two tubes of chapstick, Enrique de Simpsoña traveled on foot all the way from the Hudson River at 96th Street to the East River at 71st Street, a distance of almost 3.5 miles!! (That's well over 5 kilometers, for you Euros out there reading this blog.)

While this adventure did not lead to the discovery of any new lands, cultures, or species, it did yield a handful of pictures, which are posted here. Enjoy!
